What is all-in-one PC

The earliest computer system were comprised of three parts components, due to the large size of the displayer, the monitor, the tower case, and the input devices. As the size of the monitors decreased, the computer case was integrated into the monitor to create an all-in-one. The most successful of the all-in-one PC was the Apple iMac. the original design used the cathode-ray monitor with the computer boards and components integrated below the tube. Many similar designs were developed by PC manufacturers, but they did not catch on. with the advent of LCD monitors for displays and mobile parts getting smaller and more powerful, the size of the all-in-one PC system has decreased dramatically. Now the computer components can be easily integrated behind the LCD panel or in the base of the display. All-In-One vs. Desktop PCs All-in-one computers are really just a style of desktop computer system. They still have the same requirements in terms of features and functionalit...

Industrial Mini-ITX Motherboards

图片
Mini-ITX is a compact motherboard configuration designed to support computers in small form factors, for use anywhere that a compact PC is needed, including industrial environments. The Mini-ITX board is similar and backward compatible to Micro-ATX and Flex-ATX, but it has several features that set it apart. The Mini-ITX is very small, measuring 170 mm x 170 mm (6.75 inches x 6.75 inches). Early Mini-ITX boards used ultra low power x86 processors, often soldered to the motherboard, however nowadays Mini-ITX boards are available with sockets for full powered desktop processors as well. Mini-ITX motherboards have identical I/O panels to ATX motherboards, and usually carry all the onboard peripherals expected of a standard motherboard. However they normally only have one PCI or PCIe slot – this can support two devices with a riser card in a suitable chassis. What’s special about boards? Extra reliability testing – designed for reliable 24x7 operation in harsh environment...

INTEL X79 Quad Channel Memory Guide

图片
As a professional computer motherboard manufacturer ,today joinwincomputer will offer customers related information about quad channel memory guide. Intel® has made several changes when it comes to memory for the new 2nd generation Intel Core™ i7 processors (Sandy Bridge-E). Corsair has launched new Quad Channel DDR3 memory kits specifically designed for Intel’s new X79 motherboard. Intel has added the ability to run quad channel with up to eight DIMMs for a total of 64GB of memory. All the Corsair memory upgrade kits designed for X79 feature four modules and support XMP Profile 1.3. Intel also added native support of 1600MHz memory modules and a 2400MHz memory divider. This means that every Sandy Bridge-E CPU can run memory at 1600MHz. Not every CPU can run the memory over 1600MHz, but with mine I was able to hit nearly 2600MHz. The 2400MHz divider is geared towards overclockers and enthusiasts and allows them to run our CMGTX8 memory module...

How to CPU in a dual processor motherboard?

图片
One question we get asked at least one time each week is whether or dual socket motherboards meant for dual processors can work with one CPU. A common driver behind this question is because dual processor motherboards allow for easy expansion at a later date. Add a second CPU, heatsink/ fan and additional memory to a system without replacing any internal components or adding a second machine. The answer to the question “Can I use one CPU in a dual processor motherboard?” is yes… with some caveats. Let’s explore why. The vast majority of motherboards “just work” if you install a CPU into the lowest numbered CPU slot. This is usually CPU0 if there is CPU0 and CPU1 or CPU1 if the board is tagged CPU1 and CPU2. This is true for both Intel and AMD motherboards in general and when in doubt, most motherboard manuals will instruct a user as to which processor slot can be populated by a single CPU and a dual CPU motherboard. Here is an example from an ATX X79DUAL motherboard tha...

Aluminum Backed PCBs

图片
Printed Circuit Board can be classified into different types according to different standard, such as single layer PCB, double layer PCB, and Multilayer PCB . But now we are going to introduce you the Aluminum-Backed PCBs. Aluminum-backed PCBs are designed in much the same way as their copper-backed counterparts by using the aluminum or copper substrate board. These types of boards have a thermal clad layer which disperses heat quite efficiently. At the same time, the layer is also cooling components which results in an increase in the overall performance of your PCB. Please check the above photo to know about the structure of the aluminum PCB. Let’s look at aluminum printed circuit boards a bit closer and figure out why we choose them. Here are some advantages of Aluminum-backed PCBs when come compared with fiberglass PCB boards. 1. Heat dissipation. This is the most obvious advantage. Aluminum is one of the best materials available for dissipating heat away...

How to Guarantee the Quality of PCBs?

As we all know, quality is the life of products. So for a PCB manufacturer ,how to guarantee the quality of the PCBs is the key question we have to solve first. For Fast Turn , we focus on the two main factors for the PCB quality control. Quality Control in PCB Design PCB design is the first step for a PCB board. Once if there is any problem in the design, we will have trouble going on with the project. For Fast Turn. Even though some of the designs from our clients are not from our own layout team, It is our responsibility to have a rigorous check about the PCB design. We will go from the following aspects: • Validity of PCB design file has to be ensured. Our engineer team will review the file for free to make sure the design file is valid and the corresponding procedures are implemented. If not, our engineer team will give feedback and our suggestions to revise the design. • Manufacturability of PCBs has to be ensured. If the file is good, our engineers w...

How to choose supplier for your Automotive HDI PCBs?

图片
Recent years, modern automotive industry has improved itself to be focus more on handling, sensing, information transmission and recording from the traditional automotive industry which strives more for mechanics, power, hydraumatic and transmission. To achieve the automotive modernization and digitalization, HDI PCBs have become the first option. So for the automotive HDI PCB manufacturers, how can they be capable? As we all know, automotive HDI boards require high reliability and security. So the automotive HDI PCB manufacturers needs to meet the following requirements: 1.HDI PCB manufacturers have to be capable to fabricate the boards in terms of technologies of high HDI fabrication capability and quality control system. As we also know, to be an automotive manufacturer, one supplier has to be authorized by a third party for some certification like ISO9001 and ISO/TS16949. This is the qualification to an Automotive PCB supplier, which also means that the...

Buried and Blind Via technique in HDI Flex-rigid PCBs

图片
Combining the supporting function contributed by rigid boards and the functions of high density and flexibility contributed by flex boards, rigid-flex boards enjoy the irreplaceable advantages of lightness, thinness and small size of electronic products. To meet these advantages, the designers mainly adopt the blind/buried via and High Density Interconnecting (HDI) techniques. This blog is going to state some blind/buried via technique in HDI rigid-flex PCBs . Above all, we have to take a closer look for the dedicated material for the HDI rigid-flex PCBs. We usually use the FR4 copper foil for the rigid parts and the specific PI for the flexible part. Because of the easy occurrence of delamination of rigid-flex boards, acrylic acid adhesive should be picked up as pre-preg of rigid-flex associative part , in order to meet the viscidity requirement. Silicone rubber as lamination material and PET release film as mold cleaner are used during the lamination processes. All...

Types of Rigid-flex PCBs

图片
Rigid-flex boards consist of multiple layers of flexible PCBs attached to a number of r i gid PCB layers . As it’s name shows, it has the advantages of coming the function of the rigid boards and flex boards. To be accurate, rigid-flex PCBs have better advantages over just the rigid or flex boards. For one, rigid-flex boards have  lower parts count than traditional rigid or flexible boards because the wiring options for both can be combined into a single board. The combination of rigid and flexible boards into a single rigid-flex board also allow for a more streamlined design, reducing the overall board size and package weight. Besides, using flex-rigid PCBs rather than traditional PCBs and discrete connection can reduce the assembly time of the final product and ultimately lead to a more reliable product. The growth of the use of rigid-flex solutions in recent years is a testament to the utility provided by rigid-flex solutions. The rigid-flex PCBs...

High Density Interconnect (HDI) PCB Fabrication

图片
HDI printed circuit boards are circuits that offer much higher wiring densities per area than standard circuit boards, with finer lines and spaces, smaller vias and higher connection pad density. Fast Turn PCB has improved and upgraded our manufacturing facilities in 2011 to include HDI board fabrication and now provide manufacturing HDI PCB service in our comprehensive list of PCB fabrication capabilities. Using HDI instead of conventional PCBs can reduce the thickness size and weight as well as to enhance electrical performance of the PCB. This is due to the micro-via and buried via in the HDI PCB sequentially laminated using various insulation materials and conductor wiring for higher density of routing. There are much to learn about the HDI PCB fabrication. Firstly, let us start with the following pic to learn about the HDI technology in holes: 图一:HDI TECHBOLOGY IN HOLES And then, we can get a touch about the HDI process as the following pictures show: ...
